First of all, I would like to wish everyone (again) a great Ramadhan. Life certainly have its ups and downs, I would be a liar if I say I’m happy with it but Allah knows what’s best for his creations and I’m sure there’s good from all things that happened. You bet it, I didn’t do well on my IELTS test and though the result is not confirmed, I don’t have a good feeling about it. Nevertheless, that wouldn’t stop me from praying for help, who knows ? with the barakah of Ramadhan, my prayers might be answered. Even when it’s not, I know Allah listened and he probably have some other plans for me. At least I should be thankful with what I have and that I’m still able to perform my ibadah.

Moving on to other aspects of my life, lets talk about work. Work is okay I guess, all I need to do is follow the instructions and meet the deadlines. In terms of social life, it’s pretty much stagnant, no improvement at all, I guess it’s for the best, I pretty much have nothing in common with most of my colleague. They don’t workout, they don’t take photographs and I don’t do what they do. That sounds depressing and all but the depressing part actually originates from my house in Lumut. Nothing happens in that house aside from minor talk, eating and sleeping. I seriously need to do some stress relieving activities.

Which brings us to another matter, it have been a while since I went to the gym, more than a month. But I guess that will just have to wait until after puasa once I get my membership at BSRC. I really miss working out, not only that it’s a hobby, it’s also a way in which I could release all my tensions. Plus it also helps me sleep better. On the side note, I spent USD$346 at bodybuilding.com on supplements stack and some apparels. LOL, you have your hobby, I have mine, so let me just spend my money on what I like. Hmm, why are my hobbies so budget consuming (photography and working out). Hey, don’t look at me that way, I still have my financial matters managed properly and Alhamdulillah, things on the financial side are pretty well right now.

We’ll I guess that is all for now. Why don’t you go ahead and visit my portfolio site, Bahtera Emas.

You might be wondering where I’m currently at. Well, I’m working for BSP now under its Apprentice Scheme. It’s a 6 months contract. I’m deployed under the ISM department (an abbreviation derived from something I have yet to find out). It have been 5 days and just like any other working experience I have before this, it’s bound to be boring for the first few weeks. So I’m still anticipating the upcoming ups and downs of working life.

Meanwhile, I got a conditional offer from Monash University, Australia. I have to take the IELTS exam. Aside from that, I also need to go to MOE for accreditation and HRD to discuss my next steps. I’ll keep you guys updated but until then, later.

The Prisons Department organised a handover ceremony, which saw the presentation of two promotion badges, to two officers yesterday. Present as the chief guest during the presentation, was the Acting Director of Prisons, Hj Abd Manan bin Hj Abd Rahman.

The prisons officer, Sarifuddin bin Hj Abd Karim, was promoted to the position of Head of Officers, while the other personnel, a Warder Head, Hj Mohd Ali bin Hj Abd Jalil, was promoted to a Prisons Officer.

The promotion is part of a strategic plan by the Department in enhancing the quality of service provided by producing officers that are more skilled in effective management as well as possessing the drive to achieve more.

Prison officers who succeed in passing the examination become eligible to undergo the process, which is permissible by the service system, to seek promotion in their department. The officers should also strive to inspire their colleagues by portraying good leadership qualities and physical performance throughout their service.

Probably the most boring news I ever posted in this blog. Jk =P. Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin.

I know I look lame here but this is one of the only few pictures of me with both my parents. Plus I’m much better behind the lens. Anyway, congratulations to babah for the additional badge (or whatever they call it), you deserve it. *angkat-angkat kirai*.

01. iFitness

Probably the reason why I wanted an iPod Touch in the first place. This app allow me to keep track of my workout and rest period. In a way, this app could be your personal trainer, it’s loaded with a workout library along with instructions and videos. You can also include your own exercise. This app also tracks your progress in the form of graphs and photos. I really recommend this app for gym-goers

02. Evernote

This really helps me with my study. You can create notes and it will synchronize with your desktop and online version. This means that I can create notes from lectures and it will automatically be downloaded on iPod for me to read it later.

03. Dropbox

A lifesaver. It synchronizes any files you have on your desktop folder and keep a copy of it online as well. What more do you want ?
